Altoona, PA – The Hilbert College men’s soccer team continues to fight for every win in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference in an attempt to make postseason play. The visiting Hawks set the tone for the game scoring in the first nine minutes of play against Penn State Altoona. Sophomore go-to forward Ed Sarcione (Eden, NY/Eden Central) scored his ninth goal this season from a cross by the vocal leader Eric Russell (Hickory, NC/Iroquois Central). Penn State Altoona would even the score at 1-1 just 13 minutes later. The Hawks battle with the Lions came to a bitter end when the hosts scored with less than seven minutes to play to win the game 2-1.
