Hilbert Earns First Conference Win

Greensburg, PA - Alyssa Hulbert scored another goal in Hilbert College’s 2-0 victory over the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on September 25. The AMCC Pre-Season Player of the Year scored off a 30 yard restart kick, bringing her total goals (points) to 8 (16) through nine games. The Hawks improve to 1-0 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play and 4-5 overall. Hilbert’s other goal was scored by freshman Robbi Bailey (Saranac, NY/Saranac) when she intercepted a goal kick and beat the keeper with a shot to the upper left corner at the 60 minute mark. Hulbert (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) finished the scoring less than five minutes later. Junior Mary Zinni (Batavia, NY/Batavia) earned her 15th career shutout (5th of the 2010 season) making 7 saves for the day.
