Bio:

Formerly deputy chief U.S. probation officer of the Western District of New York, Babi oversaw pretrial services, pre-sentence investigations, and post-sentence supervision of offenders. He’s experienced in correctional issues, including overcrowding, recidivism, community-based corrections, international corrections, alternative sentencing, AIDS in the correctional setting, and the death penalty. Other areas in corrections he can address are prisoner rights, unions and the future of corrections. A certified rehabilitation counselor, Babi was senior instructor and counselor for several years for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Drinking Driving Program.
