Algoe, a former senior intelligence research specialist for U.S. Customs in Buffalo - Department of Homeland Security, has extensive experience in the intelligence process for law enforcement and security professionals, research methods, data collection and analysis, and use of the latest intelligence software tools. He can speak on criminal and competitive intelligence and its application to national threats like cyber-terrorism, homeland security and corporate fraud. He can provide general information on computer crimes and related security issues. Prior to his assignment on the U.S. Customs’ Intelligence Collection and Analysis Team, he was a customs inspector for 12 years, including nine years on the Contraband Enforcement Team where he was involved with narcotics interdiction and intelligence in Western New York.
