HIlbert Drops to D'Youville in Men's Volleyball

BUFFALO, NY – Hilbert College suffered a 3-0 loss to D’Youville College in men’s volleyball March 7. The Hawks were shut out (25-12, 25-23, 25-17) by the Spartans after two back-to-back wins over the weekend.
As a team, Hilbert (5-12) finished the match hitting .056 with Scott Ross leading with 6 kills (.297) and four assisted blocks. Stephen Phillips set all 22 of Hilbert’s assists and Ryan Ratajczak earned nine digs. Adam Weaver finished with 10 kills and five digs.
D’Youville’s Chris Krueger led with seven digs and four kills matching Chris Temple’s six kills. D’Youville (7-10) was credited with seven service aces and 7 total blocks.
The Hawks travel this weekend to Nazareth College (Rochester) and close out the United Volleyball Conference’s cross-over weekend schedule. They face Vassar at 11:15am and SUNY New Paltz at 3:45pm March 10. Hilbert finishes the weekend schedule against Bard at 9am March 11. Follow this link for scheduling details.
