HAMBURG, NY – The Hilbert College men’s volleyball team beat Wells College on February 25, 3-0. The Hawks (3-10) brought their best on Saturday, beating the Express 25-11, 25-17, 25-12.
The Hawks were up from the start of the first match and weren’t willing to let the Express climb back into the game. All of the Hilbert men found themselves on the floor to contribute to the Hilbert win of the 3-set match.
The Hawks were led by sophomore Adam Weaver, who had 10 kills for the match. Also offensively for Hilbert, Tony Blasz tallied five service aces and Stephen Phillips added 18 assists. Defensively, Adam Clabo had 14 digs and Ryan Ratajczak added 12 digs of his own to get Hilbert the win.
Up next for the Hawks is a trip to Elmira College on February 29 at 6pm. They have a string of away matches before returning here for their final home contest and UVC conference match against Penn State Behrend on March 21 at 7pm.
